Hummingbirds are one of the most fascinating of all birds. For a start, they are tiny, most of them here in the US measuring between three and four inches. Yet, in spite of their tiny size, they are aggressive. Quarrelsome with each other, they dont hesitate to tangle with much larger birds. They are able to escape most of their enemies because of their speed (up to 60 mph) and their superior maneuverability.
