The key to a successful beginning in gardening is planting at the right time. Make sure and wait until the frosts are over before planting. We are already well into the month of June so if you have not planted your garden yet, and you live in a climate with short seasons, you had better get moving quickly. People spend hours, days and weeks of their lives trying to grow and maintain a beautiful lawn. They lay the surface, plant, fertilize and water - then when the lawn looks lush and beautiful they mow it. When you think about it, this growing and mowing becomes a vicious cycle of work. It may look nice for a season, but then along comes Mother Nature with a roaring drought and your lovely lawn dies due to water restrictions.
